Rain in a Dry Land

LIRS is proud to be a national partner of “Rain in a Dry Land,” a new film that aired on PBS's P.O.V. program June 19, and is now available on DVD. The production chronicles the journey of two Somali Bantu families from the Kenyan refugee came where they have languished for a decade to new homes in the United States. Trace their experiences from cultural orientation classes through the struggles and joys of their first 18 months of life in urban America.
