Church Partnerships Lutheran Church Bodies The history of LIRS is rooted in Lutheran congregations
helping Lutheran refugees fleeing the terror of World War II. Through
the years Lutherans have expanded their efforts to help resettle
people of other religions and all races. Many congregations still
sponsor refugees and offer other services for immigrants and refugees
in their areas. Other Church Agencies The Presbyterian Church USA partners with LIRS to provide asylum and immigration grants to organizations across the country. Read more about the asylum and immigration grant program. Wheat Ridge Ministries is an independent
Lutheran charitable organization that exists to help Lutherans seed
new ministries of health and hope, in the name of the healing Christ.
LIRS partners with Wheat Ridge to provide Good Samaritan Fund grants
to churches engaged in social ministry to immigrants. Read
more about the Good Samaritan Fund and Wheat Ridge. |
