2008 National Conference Logo

Welcome!

Dear Colleagues:

LIRS would like to welcome affiliate staff, partners, and invited guests to our national conference being held in Bloomington, Minn., on June 10-12, 2008. This year’s theme is “Partnering for Success in Community Integration.” The focus of the conference is on resettlement, children’s services and immigration/asylee issues.

The conference will be highlighted by various plenary sessions. We are pleased to announce that we have Dr. Vincent Kituku as the opening speaker. Dr. Kituku is a native of Kenya who has risen to prominence by delivering authentic, informative and high-energy messages that help people "spear social buffaloes" and live up to their greatness.

We are excited about the upcoming conference and look forward to your participation. The conference will be preceded on June 9 by a regional consultants (RC) meeting.

We ask all participants to register for the conference via this website. The registration period extends through May 12, after which the link will close and will not be available.

On behalf on the entire conference planning committee, we look forward to a wonderful convening. See you in Bloomington!

Sincerely,

Terry Abeles and Susan Gundlach

on behalf of the conference planning committee—Donna Magnuson, James Horan, Stacy Martin, Patti Hurd, Sinisa Milovanovic, Chak Ng, Annie Sovick, Pam Bloom and Judi Pferdeort—and the many other staff member of LIRS and our partners!
