Washington Office LIRS's Washington, D.C., office serves as our presence in the nation's capital. The office develops and implements LIRS public policy positions on immigration and refugee issues in consultation with the LIRS president. The LIRS Washington representative communicates LIRS's policies and positions to governmental and private-sector agencies, church bodies and the public; mobilizes and train LIRS partner networks and friends to advocate on issues of mutual concern; and disseminates information and analysis on current issues to LIRS staff and partners.
