After this bill passed the House of Representatives, the New Hampshire Senate is considering HB 1405, a bill that would allow local communities to prohibit the reunification of refugee families in New Hampshire. Instead of passing laws to limit refugee resettlement, states should focus on developing innovative ways local communities can better welcome and integrate refugees.
