Global Refuge takes great care in providing secure transmission of your information over the Internet. Global Refuge maintains current certification of compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards through Trustwave and has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Global Refuge contracts with Blackbaud to create online donation forms and to process credit card information. Blackbaud provides the technology to ensure your donation to Global Refuge is secure and successful, utilizing industry-standard SSL (Secured Socket Layer) encryption technology. You can verify this encryption before providing sensitive information by looking for a lock icon in your browser’s address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address web page. Global Refuge does not save your credit card information, and we never request sensitive information such as social security numbers. Credit card numbers are used for processing payments and for no other purposes.
