Climate Justice and Migration: A Faith Perspective

As we continue to see the effects of climate change on various parts of the world, displacement from climate disasters is becoming less of far off scenario – and it is impacting especially our Guatemalan neighbors.

In “Climate Justice and Migration: A Faith Perspective,” LIRS will host a dialogue on the intersection between climate displacement and faith, both for those in the US and for our heavily burdened brothers and sisters in Guatemala. Together, we will focus on religious participation in public discourse on climate change as well as environmental policy, knowledge, and social justice. Most importantly, join LIRS to learn about the sudden- and slow-onset climate disasters manifesting in the daily lives of the people of Guatemala and why so many are making the dangerous trek to the US.
