STATEMENT: On the Passing of Former U.S. Senator Richard Lugar

LIRS President and CEO Krish O’Mara Vignarajah issued the following statement in response to the passing of former US Senator Richard Lugar:
“Senator Lugar was an exemplary public servant and a true statesman. While in office, he did not hesitate to reach across the aisle to promote policies that were in the best interest of his fellow Americans. It is our duty to emulate his commitment to make the world a safer place and his ability to bring people together. His character and devotion to our country will never be forgotten.”
