I’m glad to say that a large audience heard about the important work done by participants in the Lutheran Immigration Leadership Summit.
Besides an incredible range of coverage by synods and districts, the Orange County Register made an important mention of Larry Stoterau, President (Bishop) of the Irvine-based Pacific Southwest District, Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS).
In an April 17 piece headlined “OC Represented at D.C. Gathering,” the newspaper notes President Stoterau’s statement that the United States would be “‘foolish to rebuild its immigration system on any other bedrock’ than economic security and personal responsibility, which starts with strong families and citizenship.”
We’re grateful to the Orange County Register for covering the Lutheran Immigration Leadership Summit, and for bringing their readers the important words of President Stoterau. Please add your voice to his by visiting the LIRS Action Center and calling on your elected representatives to pass strong, humane immigration reform legislation right away!
