At LIRS we often talk about the importance of  a welcoming community. A community that does more than wave hello, a community that cares about the welfare of newcomers and is glad for the talents and contributions they bring.

The family is being resettled by LIRS affiliate Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, an organization with a long history of welcome and strengthening families. Ruth Henrichs, CEO of LIRS affiliate Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, shared that the mayor really cares about the welcome Omaha gives the family and plans to follow up and see how they are doing.
