The Refugee Youth Career Pathways program provides refugee youth (ages 16-24) with the professional skills and opportunities needed to expand their access to meaningful employment. Our service network currently delivers this vital support in nine states across the country, with additional locations on the horizon.
Each refugee youth begins the program by completing an individualized career development audit to assess employment and mentoring needs, professional goals, skills gaps and educational progress. A dedicated Career Navigator assists youth participants in creating a personalized action plan and helps them implement it, typically over the course of 6 to 12 months. The program also connects participants to skills training programs, English language instruction, professional mentors and access to internships and job opportunities.
